Fifth Day

Today task is to setting IP camera with reference to the manual provided. The setting includes wired and wireless connection from the camera to the browsers. the setting is a success, but we still can't find the solution to connect the wireless camera to the web browser via the router to share the internet access or in another word how to access ip camera from internet. Means that other users cannot view the ip camera using web browser. We're trying to find solution by understanding more about the configuration network between the camera and the router.

For today, we try out Virtual Server which available on D-link Broadband Router. this server allowed us to forward the ports to the device in the internal network. There's difference between port forwarding and Virtual Server which port forwarding includes multi port (8000-8010 or 80,90,100). Besides, Virtual Server only using a single port for example 8000. We're setting the network from the server by defining the public port and observe the result in the web.

But, the result came out failed. Its okay since we're still learning. Next time we're going to troubleshoot on UPnP (Universal Plug and play).

What is IP camera?
An Internet protocol camera, or IP camera, is a type of digital video camera commonly employed for surveillance, and which unlike analog closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras can send and receive data via a computer network and the Internet.
